The vetting of Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Minister-designate for Foreign Affairs, has reacted to allegations that he forced his way into the process.

Addressing the claims during his vetting today, Ablakwa strongly refuted the allegations and called for an unqualified apology from the Minority Leader. "Honorable Vincent Assafuah also put out a post on social media accusing me of backdoor tactics and that I'm not going to be vetted yesterday.

One wonders if this was some preconceived agenda to just cast a slur on my reputation," Ablakwa remarked.

The controversy began after the Minority Leader suggested that Ablakwa had not been scheduled for vetting and had manipulated his way in with the support of the Majority caucus.
