The vetting of Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, the Minister-designate for Health, descended into chaos on Friday, January 31, as tensions flared once again within the Appointments Committee of Parliament.
The disorder erupted when members of the Minority caucus walked into the vetting proceeding accusing the clerk of the committee of being partisan.
According to Minority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, the clerk of the committee Gifty Jiagge-Gobah misinforming them about the commencement time of the vetting.
He stated that they were in a cuscus meeting only to find out on television that the vetting process had begun without the presence of the minority members of the committee.
