The Minister-Designate for Youth and Sports, Kofi Adams, has announced plans to transform the Winneba Sports College into a modern university dedicated to training coaches and other sports-related professionals.
Speaking during his vetting before Parliament's Appointments Committee, Mr.
Adams expressed concern over the current state of the institution, describing it as "a very sorry state" due to years of neglect. "The Winneba Sporting College is now in a very sorry state.
We have about four football pitches there, but only one is still really available for usage; the rest have been left to deteriorate.
