The Attorney-General Dr Dominic Ayine has told members of the constitutional review committee to do their work diligently.

He indicated that the members were carefully selected because of their expertise. "You have been carefully selected for this important work on behalf of our country.

The easier part of the job is to follow the prescribed method for altering the constitution. "The more challenging aspect, and I can say this without fear of contradiction, is to recommend substantive provisions to add to or replace elements of the current constitution," he said during the swearing in of the members by President John Dramani Mahama at the Jubilee House in Accra on Thursday Janury 30.

For his part, President Mahama said that the work of the Constitutional Review Committee is about Ghana, not the interest of any political party.
