Member of Parliament of Ningo-Prampram, , has reaffirmed his commitment to safeguarding the innocence of Ghanaian children, particularly in the face of digital education materials.
He said he believes that digital education materials could introduce foreign values contrary to the country's cultural and moral principles.
Speaking during his vetting as the Minister of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations-designate, on January 30, 2025, he said "I will put everything in my being to protect the innocence of Ghanaian children." He emphasised that the government, through the Cyber Security Authority, under the Child Online Protection Program, would collaborate with security agencies to ensure that e-learning books and models introduced in Ghana align with national values. "And we will instruct our cyber security authority under our child online protection program to collaborate with the security agencies to ensure that our children are protected from anti Ghanaian values in any e-learning book or models that will be introduced into our country," he noted.
