Alexander Afenyo-Markin, the Minority Leader, has stated that he is giving the government some leeway and has not yet launched a full-fledged opposition, even though he is the head of the opposition in Parliament.
He mentioned that the time for a more active pushback has not yet come.
In an interview on Channel One TV's Point of View, monitored by GhanaWeb, Afenyo-Markin recalled how the National Democratic Congress (NDC) minority, during their time in opposition, made governance difficult with their unrelenting stance.
He also commented on the fierce opposition his party faced while in power. "At one point, the NDC adopted a posture that made it difficult to govern.
