The Volta Regional Vetting Committee for Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs), has successfully vetted 237 aspirants out of the 279 applicants seeking positions across various Assemblies in the region.
The vetted aspirants, competing for just 18 available slots, included 30 women and 207 men.
Announcing the conclusion of the vetting process on Tuesday, January 28, in Ho, Egypt Kudoto, the Chairman of the Vetting Committee and Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Volta Region, stated that the Committee's next step was to shortlist three candidates from each Municipality and District.
These names will then be forwarded to the national leadership, who will ultimately select one person for each assembly. "Our objective is to ensure that the most competent and dedicated individuals are chosen for these leadership roles.
