Minority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has cast doubt on the sincerity of North Tongu MP, 's campaign against alleged unlawful acquisitions of state lands by members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Speaking on Channel One TV's Point of View monitored by MyNewsGh, Afenyo-Markin suggested that Ablakwa's crusade is politically motivated rather than a genuine attempt at addressing land misappropriation.
While acknowledging that the unlawful seizure of state lands is a problem, Afenyo-Markin pointed out that the issue extends beyond politicians and the NPP.
He argued that churches and other entities have also acquired prime state lands without proper documentation, yet Ablakwa has not called them out. "Numerous state lands in prime locations have been taken over by churches, and no one is questioning how these acquisitions happened.
