The Attorney General has officially withdrawn all criminal charges against former Chairman of the (NDC), , and the party's Communications Officer, Anthony Kwaku Boahen, according to a report by 3news.com.
The two NDC officials had been on trial over a leaked audio recording in which Ofosu-Ampofo was allegedly heard discussing plans to instigate crimes and create insecurity in the country, with the intent of blaming the (NPP).
The recording reportedly outlined plans such as kidnappings, arson, and verbal attacks on key public figures, including the Chairman of the National Peace Council, Professor Emmanuel Asante; and Electoral Commission Chairperson, Jean Mensa.
Both individuals were charged with conspiracy to cause harm, charges they denied.
