Veteran journalist and Managing Editor of the Insight Newspaper, , has urged members of the Appointments Committee of Parliament to focus their questions on matters relative to the development of the country.
In a discussion on Peace FM, on January 28, 2025, Kwesi Pratt disclosed his assessment of the vetting process so far, expressing dissatisfaction with some of the questions asked by the lawmakers.
Pratt noted that some of the questions asked during the vetting are of no value to Ghanaians and that the development of the country must be the foremost consideration for members of the Appointments Committee.
Referencing the vetting of the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr Frank Amoakohene, Kwesi Pratt indicated his displeasure with the seeming fixation of members of the committee on his social media activities. "I have been reflecting on the progress of these ministerial appointments and vetting, you can't ask them whether they tweeted on social media before coming when you need to know their abilities and how they can complete the task at hand" he stated.
