Activist Oliver Barker Vormawor has expressed his readiness to appear before Parliament's Appointments Committee following a summons by the First Deputy Speaker and Committee Chairman, Bernard Ahiafor.

The summons was issued in response to Vormawor's allegations that Ahiafor and committee members demanded bribes from ministerial nominees prior to their vetting.

During proceedings ahead of the vetting of Defence Minister-designate Dr Edward Omane Boamah on January 28, Ahiafor firmly denied the accusations and expressed his willingness to undergo an oral investigation if necessary.

In a Facebook post on the same day, Vormawor welcomed the opportunity, stating, "This is how a democracy improves.
