The West African Gas Pipeline Company Limited (WAPCo) has begun preparatory works to commence its mandatory maintenance shutdown expected to last for 28 days.

Channel One News visited WAPCo's Takoradi Regulatory and Metering Station at the Aboadze Thermal plant on Wednesday, January 29, 2025.

In an interview with Channel One News, the Operations and Maintenance Manager for WAGPCo West, Engineer Benoni Owusu Ayeh, emphasised that WAGPCo is sure to complete the maintenance within the expected 28 days. "We are also using the opportunity to fix our sub-sea valves.

We had some issues with them, especially Tema and Cotonou.
