Member of Parliament for Weija Gbawe, Jerry Ahmed Shaib, has proposed a mental health evaluation for individuals who make unsubstantiated allegations.

This comes amid allegations of bribery made by social media activist, Oliver Baker-Vormawor against Parliament's Appointments Committee.

In an exclusive interview with Channel One News, Shaib emphasized that it's essential to investigate the mental state of such individuals, rather than dismissing them outright.

According to Shaib, such claims should prompt a closer examination of mental health, as such statements may be a sign of underlying issues. "I think that sometimes we seem to see some of these things as jokes but maybe for the first time, we should also look at people who make such statements and find out if mentally they are okay as well. "Someone can be making such statements and we may not have gone through to check the mental healthcare of the person," he stated.
