Some victims of the Buduburam blast that occurred in 2024 have expressed concerns over neglect.

They claim their health conditions are worsening daily, and repeated efforts to get the construction company to cover their medical expenses have proven futile.

On October 14, 2024, Nag Fairmount Constructions Limited, the company working on the dualization of the Buduburam to Winneba stretch of the highway, conducted a stone-blasting exercise at the Buduburam section of the Kasoa-Winneba highway.

The exercise resulted in the death of three people and left several others injured.
