Activist and legal practitioner, Oliver Barker-Vormawor, has been summoned to appear before the Appointments Committee of Parliament on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, following allegations of bribery against committee members.

Barker-Vormawor had accused the committee of accepting bribes from ministerial nominees before vetting them.

He further challenged Bernard Ahiafor, who chairs the committee, to submit himself to an oral examination.

In response, Ahiafor strongly denied the allegations.
