The Majority Leader of , , has stated that he has never harboured any interest in assuming the position of Attorney General and Minister of Justice, despite his name coming up as a potential appointee.
Speaking to Bernard Avle of Channel One News on Monday, January 27, 2025, Mr.
Ayariga, who recently succeeded Dr.
Cassiel Ato Forson as leader of the caucus in , said he had no interest in the Attorney General job despite his legal background. "I have never really been interested in being Attorney General," he said. "I saw people on social media advocating for me to be Attorney General, saying I would be a good Attorney General, but it is not a job that I have ever really been interested in," the Majority Leader added.
