The newly appointed Acting CEO of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Edudzie Tameklo, has vowed to implement transformative reforms to reset Ghana's downstream petroleum sector.

Speaking with 3news on his first day in office, he emphasized that his leadership would align with President John Dramani Mahama's vision of delivering fairness, transparency, and efficiency across the industry. "It will not be business as usual," he stated, promising bold strategies to elevate the Authority to the next level.

The new CEO further reiterated his commitment to upholding the NPA's mandate as defined by Parliament.

He noted that ensuring compliance with industry standards and driving accountability will be at the core of every decision. "Our primary role as a regulator is to ensure people don't do what pleases them in this industry.
