The Ashanti Regional Minister-designate, Frank Amoakohene has pledged to maintain active engagement with the youth and the broader community through social media while emphasizing the importance of balancing online and traditional interactions.
During his vetting on Monday, January 27, 2025, Amoakohene highlighted the evolution of community spaces and their impact on social connections. "In times past, when I was young, my father would send me to the community center, where they go to play, 'Ludo', 'Dame,' among others.
In recent times, those centers do not exist.
There's a new society known as social media, where we get the opportunity to share ideas and also to interact," he explained, reminiscing about the communal bonds of yesteryears.
