The chieftaincy dispute at Kwahu has escalated, with a rival claimant to the stool being enstooled by a faction of Kwahu chiefs.
The development has sparked tension in the traditional capital, Abene.
According to sources, armed thugs, allegedly backed by some chiefs, forcefully took over the Esono Gyimah palace, the seat of the Kwahumanhene.
