Former Energy Minister and prominent member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Boakye Agyarko, has made an emotional plea to disillusioned members and supporters of the party, urging them to forgive past grievances and rejoin the fold.

His appeal comes in the wake of what he described as the party's most significant electoral defeat in its history-a setback he attributes to widespread disinterest among its grassroots supporters.

Speaking with the tone of a party elder and someone deeply invested in the NPP's legacy, Agyarko did not shy away from addressing the pain and frustration many supporters feel.

He acknowledged the gravity of the discontent, admitting that the party's recent loss has had a profound impact not just on its members but on its overall identity. "The disinterest exhibited by our supporters, which led to our defeat, has left a profound impact on us as a party," he reflected on Peace FM monitored by MyNewsGh.
