President John Dramani Mahama has assured the chiefs and people of the Volta Region that it would receive its fair share of the national cake.
He said as the backbone of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) since 1992, it was time for him to change the narrative of neglect of the region in terms of development especially over the last eight years. "We acknowledge your challenges, years of neglect, and alienation from the development of our country due to your political choices.
But I stand here to assure you that this narrative will change.
My visit signals my commitment to ensuring that the Volta Region receives its fair share of national development," President Mahama stated.
