The Minister of Education, Mr Haruna Iddrissu, has called for the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a key component of the country's education development.
This, according to him would enable the country bridge the learning gaps to build a competitive human capital and equally compete on the global market.
Addressing a news conference in Accra last Friday as part of activities to mark the International day of Education, he said the evolving nature of technology required that the country's education delivery was tailored to meet new demands.
The International Day of Education is celebrated annually on January 24 to highlight the importance of education in the global community and this year's was on the theme: 'AI and Education.' The Minister stated that the theme for this year's celebration sought to encourage reflections on the power of education to equip individuals and communities to navigate and understand technological advancement.
