Professor Stephen Kwaku Asare has said that the action of public officers in acquiring assets does not mean they are looting.

However, he pointed out that the sudden acquisition of the properties is a red flag for looting. "Of course, having assets is not equal to looting.

But sudden assets acquisition in public office is a red flag for looting," he wrote on Facebook.

His comments come at a time when President John Dramani Mahama said that the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah will soon announce a date for all the appointees to declare their assets.
