Salam Mustapha, the National Youth Organizer of the ruling (NPP), has clarified his controversial statement made prior to the 2024 general elections.
He had earlier declared that he would kill himself if , the then flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), won the elections.
Mustapha has now described the remark as mere political talk, according to him, the statement was intended to motivate and cheer up his party members ahead of the elections.
Speaking during an interview on Asempa FM on January 23, 2025, he explained that he never intended to take his own life.
