The Kaneshie District Court One has acquitted and discharged a commercial driver, whose vehicle was involved in a crash that resulted in the death of motor rider.

Richard Agbenyamu, 62, was initially charged with careless and inconsiderate driving, as well as negligently causing harm to Abdul Rahman, 52, who later died from injuries at the hospital.

However, the court determined that the charges were unsupported by the facts and declined to accept a plea from Agbenyamu.

According to Police Chief Inspector Apewa Achana, on January 22, 2025, at about 0930 hours, Rahman was riding a Suzuki motorbike from Abossey Okai Junction towards Agbogbloshie.
