President John Dramani Mahama, during the launch of his 'Thank You' tour in the Volta Region, acknowledged the area's unique blessings and shared his vision for its development.
Speaking passionately about the region's potential, Mahama highlighted its pristine environment, tourism prospects, and infrastructure needs. "The Volta Region may not have mineral resources, but that is also a blessing in disguise," he began. "This region probably has some of the most unspoiled natural vegetation in the country, unlike many other regions that have been scarred by illegal mining.
It also has some of the cleanest rivers and streams, untouched by pollution, with fresh air that is healthy for human existence." Mahama emphasized tourism as a key avenue for the region's prosperity, pledging support to enhance its potential. "Tourism is a very viable prospect for prosperity.
Your own daughter, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, will work to improve the tourist sites in the region," he noted, referring to the parliamentary candidate for the Ketu South constituency.
