President John Dramani Mahama has officially appointed Felix Gyamfi as the new Acting Director-General for the National Service Authority (NSA).

The appointment was communicated through a formal letter from Callistus Mahama, Secretary to President John Dramani Mahama, on January 20, 2025.

The letter reads: "I write to formally inform you that the President of the Republic in accordance with Article 195(1) of the Constitution and the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119), has appointed you as the Acting Director-General of the National Service Authority pending receipt of the Constitutionally required advice of the governing Board, given in consultation with the Public Services Commission." The appointee, who is yet to accept or decline the position, has been given fourteen days to confirm their acceptance. "Kindly indicate your acceptance or otherwise of this appointment, within fourteen (14) days of receipt of this letter," the letter continues.

This appointment comes at a time when the NSA plays an increasingly critical role in managing national service programs, particularly in helping graduates transition into the workforce.
