Chief of Staff Julius Debrah has issued a directive requesting detailed staff information recently added to government payrolls In a bid to curb payroll-related inefficiencies and uphold transparency within government institutions.
In a letter dated January 15 and addressed to all heads of government institutions, he stated the importance of ensuring the accuracy and integrity of payroll records under the John Mahama administration. "You are kindly requested to submit the following details for each staff member added within the specified period," the letter stated, listing required information such as the employee's full name, designation, employee identification number (if applicable), date of appointment, and date added to the payroll.
The Chief of Staff stressed that the requested information is "critical to maintaining transparency and accountability in our payroll management processes," urging institutions to submit their data no later than Friday, 31st January 2025.
Mr Debrah further assured institutions of the administration's commitment to working collaboratively to resolve any discrepancies. "Should you require further clarification or have any questions regarding this directive, please do not hesitate to contact us," the letter stated.
