Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has called on Ghanaians living abroad to unite and shape a brighter future for Ghana and their communities.

Addressing the Ghanaian community in Côte d'Ivoire, Bagbin emphasised the importance of unity and collective action in driving national progress. "We must remain united in our diversity for one nation and common destiny," a statement issued by the Office of the Speaker and copied to the Ghana News Agency, Accra on Thursday said.

It said Speaker Bagbin also urged the diaspora to stay actively involved in Ghana's political landscape and hold leaders accountable.

According to the statement, the event was part of Parliament's initiative to engage citizens at home and abroad, fostering an inclusive legislative process that reflected the needs of all Ghanaians.
