Ali Adolf G.
John, the Northern Region Minister-Designate, has vowed to confront the longstanding issue of abuse and ostracism faced by alleged witches in some communities.
Speaking during his vetting on Thursday, January 23, Adolf expressed grave concern over the mistreatment of elderly women, who are frequently accused of witchcraft and subjected to public humiliation, banishment, and physical violence.
Describing the situations as "horrific," Adolf emphasized the urgency of addressing the plight of these individuals, many of whom are marginalized and left vulnerable to societal abuse. "Most of the aged are often accused of witchcraft, and some of the footage is horrific," he said, calling for a united effort to restore dignity to these vulnerable citizens.
