The Northern Regional Minister nominee, Ali Adolf John, has vowed to work with traditional leaders to tackle the issue of witchcraft accusations and the mistreatment of individuals accused of practising witchcraft in the region.

Appearing before Parliament's Appointments Committee as part of his vetting process, Mr.

Adolf acknowledged the prevalence of such cases in the Northern Region, where vulnerable individuals, especially the elderly, are often accused of witchcraft and subjected to severe ordeals. "It is true that some areas in the Northern region have these witchcraft issues going on.

They have opened centres at various places.
