Even before the 11-member Professor Mike Aaron Oquaye-led committee commences work on gathering information as to what occasioned the New Patriotic Party's(NPP's) disastrous performance in the 2024 elections, some current national executives of the party have foot soldiers to contend with.

Some disgruntled foot soldiers have already started calling on some leading party members to step out and be voted for National Executive positions while expressing their disappointment in the current executives, whom they say have brought the party to its knees.

Justin Kodua Frimpong The current General Secretary of the NPP, Lawyer Justin Kodua Frimpong could be seeking another term in office when his tenure expires.  He is among the few national executives who were seen campaigning in various parts of the country but it is unclear if the seething anger of the party's grassroots will not be visited on him at the congress.  Deep-throat sources suggest he is not the favourite of former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and therefore has a herculean task to convince delegates to retain him.
