The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced that elections to select Regional Representatives to the Council of State will take place on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, in all regional capitals.
This decision is in accordance with Paragraph (C), Clause (2) of Article 89 of the 1992 Constitution.
In a statement issued by the Chairperson of the EC, Mrs Jean Mensa, the Commission outlined the requirements and timelines for the nomination process. "Qualified persons who intend to stand for the said Elections should submit their Nomination Forms with two (2) copies of a recent bust-sized photograph against a RED background showing their full face and ears," the statement said.
Nomination forms can be downloaded from the EC's website (www.ec.gov.gh) and must be completed in triplicate.
