Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, the Minister-designate for Gender, Children, and Social Protection, has vowed to address the ongoing payment delays affecting caterers under the government's school feeding program.
Her commitment comes as concerns grow over unpaid arrears and the impact on the quality of meals provided to schoolchildren.
During her vetting by the Appointments Committee on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, Naa Momo assured Ghanaians that resolving these challenges would be a top priority under her leadership. "Our manifesto clearly outlines our goal to address the bottlenecks in school feeding and capitation grants.
We even aim to extend the program to private schools," she stated during her appearance.
