The Minister-Designate for Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry, Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, has stated that the implementation of the 24-hour economy will be used as a strategic measure to tackle the persistent raw materials shortage affecting the One District, One Factory (1D1F) initiative.
Speaking during her vetting before Parliament's Appointments Committee on Wednesday, January 22, the Minister-Designate emphasised that this innovative approach would revitalise industries and address long-standing challenges in Ghana's industrialisation agenda.
In her address to the committee, Mrs.
Ofosu-Adjare acknowledged that the raw materials shortage hindering the 1D1F initiative is a deep-seated issue that predates its implementation.
