Morning show host for Onua TV in Accra, Captain Smart has defended himself over the recent deaths recorded at Obuasi in the Ashanti Region.
According to him, he has done no wrong because the video in circulation is a video from 2023. "I don't owe anybody an explanation, but I just want you to know that the video in question, which people are making it look like it happened yesterday, is from June 2023.
In 2023 they were working there; in 2024 they were working there.
It is an abandoned pit.
