Former Chairman of the People's National Convention (PNC), , has stated that it would be a wrong decision for President John Mahama to appoint him as Ghana's ambassador to another country.

His comment follows President Mahama's appointment of Nana Yaa Jantuah, a leading member of the Convention People's Party, as a Presidential staffer.

In an interview with Joy News, , who has collaborated with the NDC while in opposition organizing demonstrations, noted that President Mahama is under no obligation to appoint a minister from the PNC.

He added that if an appointment as ambassador were offered to him, he would turn it down, stating that he lacks the diplomatic acumen for the role.
