Mahama Haruna, General Manager of Nkilgi FM in Bole, has described the recent agitations by some NDC youth in President John Dramani Mahama's hometown as an embarrassment to the president.
He has called for calm and urged party members to respect the president's ministerial appointments, stressing that any disruptive actions could damage his reputation. "Any action by the NDC youth in Bole will only embarrass President John Dramani Mahama in the eyes of Ghanaians," Mr Haruna stated.
He acknowledged the disappointment felt by many over the absence of Bole-Bamboi MP, Alhaji Yusif Sulemana, from the list of ministerial appointees but emphasised trust in the president's discernment and leadership.
The comments come in the wake of protests in Bole, where some disgruntled NDC youth reportedly burned car tyres near President Mahama's father's residence.
