Ahmed Ibrahim, the Minister-Designate for Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs, has pledged his commitment to enhancing the local economy in every district.
He assured the Appointments Committee of Parliament of his intention to work closely with local government stakeholders to develop strategies and policies aligned with President John Dramani Mahama's vision to strengthen the local economy.
Ahmed Ibrahim also expressed concern about the current challenges facing local economies, highlighting the need for focused interventions to address their weaknesses and foster sustainable growth.
