The leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Western Region has assured the 138 persons seeking to be considered for the position of Chief Executives for the 14 Assemblies of fairness as the party conducts its vetting in Sekondi.

So far Amenfi East has the highest number of interested persons, 16, while Prestea-Huni-Valley Municipality has the least of just a candidate.

In an interview with Channel One News, the Western Regional NDC Chairman, Nana Toku assured candidates of a transparent and fair process.

He urged aspirants to call on their supporters to agree on the outcome of the vetting for unity to prevail within the party. "We are not going to burn anybody's hands to another person.
