Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, Mussa Dankwah, has suggested to President John Dramani Mahama to set up an Office of Ethics at the presidency to advise him on issues of ethics in his government.
He expresses the view that such an office will support the implementation of the Code of Ethics for government officials that he intends to introduce.
Mussa Dankwa was commenting on issues raised by the Founding President of IMANI Africa, Franklin Cudjoe against the use of a private jet by President Mahama which belongs to his brother Ibrahim Mahama.
Mr Franklin Cudjoe had demanded an explanation from the Presidency to the citizenry on whether the cost of the flight provided by the President's brother for the President's recent travels were "classified as a gift to the state and declared." Mussa Dankwa wrote on his Facebook page "The ethical dimension of using brother's private jet which needs careful review and addressing, I suggest John Dramani Mahama set up an office for ethics at the presidency to offer advice to the president on issues of ethics in his government. "He should not wait until someone sends issues to CHRAJ.
