About 80 residents of Amasaman in the Ga West District of the Greater Accra Region over the weekend benefited from a free medical screening and surgeries exercise organised by the Korean Foundation for International Health Global Alumni (KOFIHGA) (Ghana Chapter).
The two-day exercise, which was funded by Korean Foundation International Healthcare (KOFIH), performed 42 eyes surgeries and 38 general operations.
The exercise, which brought surgeons across the country and held at the Ga West Municipal Hospital, formed part of the annual general activities of KOFIHGA to give back to society.
In an interview with the Ghanaian Times, the President of KOFIHGA, Dr Ralph Armah, stated that they were expecting 106 cases in the two-day period, however, 80 people came.
