Member of Parliament for South Dayi, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor has disagreed with critics who have questioned the legality of the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) committee.
The ORAL committee was tasked by President John Dramani Mahama to gather information about corrupt activities or looting of state resources by previous state officials.
The South Dayi MP in an interview on TV3's KeyPoints explained that the work of the ORAL Committee is grounded by law. "I think he got his analysis wrong because the activities of ORAL, the committee that has been set up to do evidence gathering for purposes of some further action by government is probably anchored in law.
He further referenced article 41(f) of the constitution to back the formation of the ORAL committee.
