The (NPP) has firmly rejected the 's (EC) decision to re-run the parliamentary elections in 19 polling stations within the Ablekuma North Constituency.

Addressing the media at the party's headquarters on Thursday, July 3, the General Secretary, Justin Frimpong Kodua, described the commission's move as "shocking, disingenuous and unlawful." According to him, the party had been informed of the EC's decision through a statement signed by Samuel Tettey, Deputy Chairman in charge of Operations, issued on Wednesday, July 2, 2025.

The EC justified its action by citing discrepancies in the results used for collation.

It stated that the pink sheets from the 19 polling stations were either not signed by the presiding officers, signed by persons acting in multiple capacities, or lacked proper verification.
