The Ghana Police Service, in collaboration with the Military, has restored calm in Nkwanta and surrounding areas in the Oti Region following renewed communal clashes.
The clashes reportedly linked to a communal dispute, resulted in the tragic loss of five lives and left five others injured.
Eight buildings and one shop were destroyed during the unrest.
The injured are receiving medical care, while the bodies of the deceased have been sent to the morgue for preservation and further investigation.
