The Ghana Police Service has restored calm in Nkwanta and its surrounding areas in the Oti Region following renewed communal disturbances.
The latest clashes mark a troubling escalation in the region, which has experienced periods of unrest in the past.
According to the Ghana Police Service, adequate reinforcement teams have been deployed to support the Regional Police Command, with additional assistance from the military.
