The Chief Executive Officer of Okada Motto Ghana, Mohammed Sumaila, has expressed profound sorrow and extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the eight individuals who tragically lost their lives in the military helicopter crash on August 6, 2025.
In a statement issued earlier today August 7, 2025, Sumaila said the news of the incident deeply affected him, describing how it disturbed his sleep and left him reflecting on the fragility of life. "I found myself reflecting on the fragility of life and the painful reality that even those who dedicate themselves to serving our nation can be taken from us so suddenly," he shared.
Among the victims was Dr Edward Omane Boamah, whom Sumaila described as "a brilliant mind and devoted patriot." "His intellect, his clarity in argument, and his unwavering commitment to Ghana made him a figure worth listening to and learning from.
To think that this is how his journey ends - it is truly heartbreaking," he added.
