Residents of Nungua Addogono in the Greater Accra Region have called on the police to increase their presence in the area, following a worrying surge in robbery incidents.
In an interview with JoyNews, on Friday, January 17, 2025, some residents shared harrowing accounts of being ambushed by unidentified assailants on motorbikes, while others have had their valuables snatched in broad daylight.
They expressed fear for their safety, lamenting the alarming frequency of such crimes, particularly in isolated parts of the community. "Robberies have become rampant in this community, I personally experienced an attack when a group of armed men snatched my valuables.
It's terrifying," one resident shared.
