President John Dramani Mahama has appointed former Bongo Member of Parliament, Edward Bawa, as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC).
The appointment, effective January 17, 2025, was announced in a statement issued by Callistus Mahama, Executive Secretary to the Office of the President.
The statement highlighted that the appointment is subject to the required advice of the Energy Minister, in consultation with the Public Services Commission, in accordance with statutory procedures. "I take this opportunity to formally congratulate you on your appointment," the statement read.
