President John Dramani Mahama is set to submit the final list of his ministerial appointments to the Speaker of Parliament on Monday, January 22, 2025, has learnt.
This submission fulfills the president's commitment to name his full slate of ministers within 14 days of being sworn into office on January 7, 2025.
The Office of the President has pledged to streamline governance by working with no more than 60 ministers, which forms part of efforts aimed at promoting efficiency and reducing government expenditure.
Among the key ministries expected to feature in the final batch of appointments are Defence, Interior, Environment, Health, and Labour.
